Heartland Lodge is offering a 3-night/2-day Waterfowl/ Upland Combo Hunt for a minimum of 2 hunters.
This Waterfowl/Upland Combo Hunt Details are as follows:
- Combo hunt can only be booked between Dec 15 – 30th of 2025
- If booked before Christmas ducks and geese may be hunted
- Daily bag limit for ducks is six (6) and may include no more than four (4) mallards (two hens, three (3) wood ducks, two (2) redheads, two (2) blacks ducks, two (2) canvasback, one (1) pintail, and one (1) mottled duck
- 3 Canadian Geese
- 4 cock pheasants per day/ per hunter (can upgrade to premium/ double premium package for a no-limit hunt)
- 8 quail per day/ per hunter (can upgrade to premium/ double premium package for a no-limit hunt)
- 3 nights/2 days hunting
- Arrive the evening before the hunt
- All meals, lodging, guiding and game cleaning is included
- Dogs are provided
Not included –
- Gratuity for the guides and staff
- Required hunting license, state migratory waterfowl stamp, federal migratory waterfowl stamp and a HIP certification for waterfowl
- For upland, purchase of a preserve hunting license or regular hunting license (can be purchased online – we can assist on details)
Located in Nebo, Illinois, in Pike County, Heartland Lodge offers some of the best waterfowl/upland game hunting in Illinois. Hunters nationwide know Heartland Lodge as a premier hunting lodge and outfitter. Hunting pheasants in Illinois has been a tradition that goes back many years. The native prairie grasses that surround the lodge are ideal habitat for pheasants. With the introduction of food plots and addition cover, pheasants flourish here at Heartland. In Illinois, we hunt behind pointing dogs, along fence rows, food plots, and prairie grasses. We mow flushing strips, so the wild pheasants are forced to flush or hold for the dogs. Watching them work the habitat and then lock on a bird adds another element to the entire hunting experience.
Our waterfowl hunting cannot be compared to any other duck hunting area in the United States. Hunt diver ducks such as Canvasbacks along the great Mississippi & Illinois Rivers, or Mallards, Wood Ducks, Redheads, Black Ducks and Pintail in flooded fields in cozy dry pits or blinds located in dry fields! Both are heated.
Your experience does not end in the field; you will instantly feel comfortable with home-cooked meals and friendly staff. The relaxation of the lodge is something you will look forward to after a full day of hunting.
All bookings are double occupancy in regular rooms at the Original Lodge, unless other arrangements are made. Private rooms or upgraded rooms can be arranged if available. All rooms have private baths. As part of the care and maintenance inside our lodge, we ask that you bring slippers or wear socks. Boots and shoes are removed in the mud room. Non-hunters are welcome to join! No refund/credit if hunt is cancelled.

Tom Lee is offering a choice of a Bow Hunt for two hunters or an Early Season Youth Hunt (usually late October or early November) for 2 youths and 2 observers.
The hunt to take place in northeast area of Missouri in Monroe County, 45 minutes north of Mexico, Missouri on over 300 hundred acres of private land.
