Welcome to the website and social media platforms (collectively, the "Site") owned, operated, or managed by the Gateway Area Chapter of Safari Club International ("GAC-SCI," "the Chapter," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using our Site. By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to use this Site.

Use Limitations and Lawful Compliance

By using the Site, you agree to utilize its contents and services strictly for lawful purposes related to the Chapter's mission of wildlife conservation, education, and advocacy for hunting heritage. You agree not to disrupt, intercept, or attempt to circumvent any security features of the Site or our associated servers. Any unauthorized use, data mining, or misuse of information posted to the Site is strictly prohibited.
You represent and warrant that you will abide by all local, state, federal, and international laws, rules, and regulations while interacting with the Site, including laws governing wildlife, firearms, and conservation advocacy where applicable.

Membership Dues and Payments

  • Payment Authorization: By submitting payment details for annual or life memberships, you authorize GAC-SCI and its third-party payment processors to charge your selected payment method.
  • Tax Deductibility: GAC-SCI is a 501(c)(4) or 501(c)(3) organization (Chapter to confirm exact IRS tax status). Payments for standard membership dues are generally not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes; please consult your tax advisor.

Online Fundraising Auctions and Raffles

  • Eligibility: Participation in GAC-SCI online auctions, raffles, or sweepstakes is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or older where required by law) and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
  • Binding Bids: Every bid placed in an online auction constitutes a legally binding offer to purchase the listed item or experience at the bid price. If you win an auction, you are legally obligated to complete the transaction.
  • Missouri Compliance: All fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri. Raffles and games of chance are hosted strictly within Missouri constitutional exemptions for bona fide charitable or religious organizations.
  • Firearms and Controlled Items: Certain auction items, including firearms, require compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Winners must successfully clear all Federal Firearms License (FFL) background checks. If a winner fails the background check, the item will not be transferred, and no refunds will be issued.
  • Hunt Packages and Travel: GAC-SCI serves solely as a facilitator for donated hunting trips and excursions. The Chapter provides no warranties regarding the operations, safety, or licensing of third-party outfitters. Winners are responsible for all travel costs, trophy fees, and permitting.

User-Submitted Content and License Grant

By submitting content (text, images, media) to the Site, you grant GAC-SCI a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute that content. You warrant that you own the content, it does not harm others, and you waive any "moral rights". Prohibited content includes defamatory, illegal, or malicious materials.

Content Moderation and Confidentiality

GAC-SCI reserves the right to edit or delete any user content at its discretion. Submissions are not confidential, and the Chapter may use submitted ideas or concepts for any purpose, including marketing or fundraising.

Intellectual Property and Limited Use License

All content on the Site is the property of GAC-SCI or its licensors. Users are granted a limited license to download one copy for personal, non-commercial use only. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited. Violations will result in immediate termination of access.

Linking Policy

The Site may include links to third-party sites for convenience. GAC-SCI does not endorse these sites and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Age Restrictions and Registration

Users under 18 must have parental consent to submit information or register for events. Users are responsible for providing accurate, current registration data.

Limitation of Liability
